“Instead of bronze I will bring gold, and instead of iron I will bring silver; and instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones, iron. [Instead of the tyranny of the present] I will appoint peace as your officers and righteousness as your taskmasters. Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor devastation and destruction within your borders, but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates praise.” Isa 60:17-18
A management buff in the manufacturing sector once said “Take care of the process and the product will take care of itself”. This means that if you are particular about quality assurance during the manufacturing process, the ultimate product will come our alright, but if you fudge the process, you will get found out in the quality of the final product. This truth can be no truer than in spiritual matters particularly when it concerns reaping the fruit of peace.
One fact that we have established is that our ability to enjoy the fruit of God’s peace is dependent on our attitude to God’s word. If we believe God’s promise, the fruit of peace is more likely to blossom as a bye product of our faith. However, if we choose to doubt God’s word, we open the door to the enemy to steal our peace and the victory it guarantees us. Since God’s word serves as the foundation of our peace, it becomes pertinent for us to listen for His voice and receive that living word that would turn our lives around. I believe that God is speaking to you right now and encourage you to believe His word as stated above. If your life until now has been difficult, God wants you to know that it can only get better because He has drawn a line in the sand to put an end to your troubles and has promised only positive improvements for you. He has appointed peace as your officer and righteousness as your taskmaster. Never again will you have to suffer tyranny and oppression because God is even now sending His living word to save you from devastation and destruction. He has decreed in the heavenly realms that violence shall no more be heard in your life and if you will choose to believe Him, that promise shall be translated into reality in your life.
So, what does this imply for you? It means that you now need to move from peace to praise. Let the entrance of God’s word into your spirit give rise to faith in your heart, with officer peace standing guard to repel the enemy’s onslaught over the oasis of life that is your heart. Then as God continues to work in your life, His word will build a wall of salvation, whose defences cannot be breached by the devil and whose only access is the gates of praise. It is customary that genuine peace always leads to praise, because praise is the result of faith which in turn is produced by the living word of God. Therefore, choose to praise God irrespective of your situation and you will not only retain God’s peace in your heart, but also create a way through which God will bring your salvation. Praise the God of peace and He will release His anointing to calm that howling storm that is presently raging in your life. God’s peace is yours; take it by faith, and may I add, by praise.
Prayer:
Father, I praise you because you are the Prince of peace. I exult and enthrone you on the throne of my heart through my praise because your word assures me that you will show me the way of salvation. I rejoice in your goodness as I anticipate the wondrous blessings that are about to come my way through your generosity. Thank you Lord, for I shall go out of my difficulties in joy and be led forth in peace. Hallelujah!
